An unusual public debate took place between Deputy Minister for Return, Milazim Gashi, and lawyer Tomë Gashi, regarding the political future of Albin Kurti. In a statement that has gone viral on social media, Milazim Gashi declared that “Albin Kurti will no longer be Prime Minister,” even offering “condolences” to lawyer Tomë Gashi, who is known for his staunch defense of the Vetëvendosje leader.
“The U.S. Department of Defense and intelligence agencies do not see as a leader someone who has been imprisoned in a hostile state. They do not recognize him and do not trust him. Vetëvendosje may win again, but Albin Kurti as Prime Minister—no,” stated Milazim Gashi.
On the other hand, lawyer Tomë Gashi responded confidently, saying, “Albin Kurti will be Prime Minister for many more terms,” dismissing the deputy minister’s prediction as “political wishful thinking.”
However, recent political developments appear to have proven Deputy Minister Gashi right, as it was confirmed on Sunday that Albin Kurti will no longer hold the position of Prime Minister.
