The Chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lumir Abdixhiku, has responded to the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, after the latter stated that he was “surprised” by LDK’s refusal to cooperate after the elections.

Through a Facebook post, Abdixhiku reacted sharply, emphasizing that “a given word must be kept,” while accusing Kurti of “understanding neither principles nor political dignity.”

“I am convinced that you do not understand principles. And even less do you understand the importance of your word,” Abdixhiku wrote at the beginning of his response.

He accused Kurti of usurping state institutions, violating the Constitution, and disrespecting the courts of the Republic, stressing that the acting Prime Minister “brags about breaking the law and defends his party’s corrupt members.”

“A man who blocks the state for eight months by deceiving everyone, who violates the Constitution 48 times, and places himself above the prosecution — a man who only divides and insults — cannot understand cooperation as a patriotic act,” Abdixhiku wrote.

The LDK leader added that his party’s future is not built “in anyone’s lap,” underlining that “LDK has its own bedrock and flows strong like its own river.”

In the end, Abdixhiku emphasized that LDK will remain steady and confident in its future:

“LDK yesterday, LDK today, LDK forever. There will be light!”

This reaction comes at a key moment in the post-election developments, where relations between LDK and Vetëvendosje have entered a new phase of political confrontation following the President’s decision on the new government’s nominee.
